CGFA Virtual Fundraising Cookbook?

As a follow up to our meeting yesterday… Some members of CGFA would like to share recipes. Great idea! Do you remember fundraising cookbooks sold through church and civic groups to help raise money? Here is a creative new way to submit our recipes online and raise money by selling a virtual cookbook for CFGA at the same time.

Check out this video about Cookbook Cafe:

In the past, nonprofits that created paper cookbooks were limited by the cost and complexity of book publishing, marketing and distribution. They were forced to publish cookbooks that were either modest in format or limited to a single technology platform, and their distribution was usually limited to a small network of supporters. Cookbook Cafe eliminates these limitations and changes the nonprofit cookbook publishing model!

I have set up an account with Cookbook Cafe for us to launch the CGFA cookbook and start loading our recipes. We can also add video about the garden and links to our website and Facebook page. Only CGFA will be allowed to contribute recipes but the cookbook will be sold to everyone for between $0 – $9.99 depending on what we want to charge. It is free to create a cookbook on Cookbook Cafe so all proceeds will go to CGFA.  Our cookbook will be formatted for distribution as a native iPad app and web-based ebook in the Cookbook Cafe storefront. We can embed a link to it from our CGFA website.
