Slow Food Seacoast and The Seacoast Permaculture Group present the First Annual Seed to Soil Conference!  Join with a community of gardeners working to preserve our agricultural heritage and teach a love of gardening to all generations.
Why Seed to Soil? The cycle of life and of our food begins with a seed. As a plant grows, matures and dies, it returns to the soil as organic matter that nourishes the seeds of the next generation. In parallel, experienced gardeners nourish the younger generations of growers and gardeners. This cycle of life is what we wish to promote at our conference.
This years conference will feature several round table discussions and hands-on workshops including:
    – Soil building with the whole ecosystem in mind.
    – Seed saving tips and tricks.
    – Get a jump on Spring: seed starting indoors.
    – School garden strategies
    – Creating art for the garden
The conference begins with a potluck lunch from 12 – 1 and features seed sharing all afternoon. Two sessions of workshops are offered: 1:00 – 2:30 and 2:30 – 4:00.
COST: Tickets are $10 or $5 for SF and SPG members.
