“Bag It” Free Film Showing

Dear Gardeners, this may be an event of interest:

According to the Earth Policy Institute, 100 billion plastic bags pass through the hands of U.S. consumers every year—almost one bag per person each day, and enough bags that when laid end to end, could circle the Equator 1,330 times.
Where do these bags and other plastics end up, and at what coast to our environment, marine life and human health?
On Thursday, January 7th at 6:30pm, join the Oyster River Sustainability Committee and Blue Ocean Society for Marine Conservation for a free showing of the award winning documentary “Bag It” , at the Oyster River High School, in Durham, NH.
